Pick Out a Pumpkin

Pumpkins are arranged along a path where visitors can pick out a pumpkin or pose by Instagram-ready tableaus.
Taking place every year on the first weekend of November for the last 34 years, the Stormy Weather Arts Festival is one of the area’s most popular events. The event packs in music and more than 100 local artists’ creations.
It’s fall, so there is no better time to get a few hiking adventures in before winter. One of the best places near Astoria, OR, is on the Goonie Trails, popularized by The Goonies movie. These numerous footpaths are scattered all over the area and are sure to offer some scenic fall memories for Goonies fans.
Sometimes you need to relax. Shallon Winery is a great place to sit back, sip on some fantastic local wine and enjoy delicious chocolate too. The winery has been a one-person operation for more than 30 years as well.
Another picturesque fall hiking destination is the Lewis and Clark National Historical Park. Here you’ll get some history about the Lewis and Clark Expedition, and you’ll have access to the Columbia River’s and the Pacific Coast’s beautiful fall landscapes.
